Press Release Summary = Sniffy McGee's Unique Pet Boutique (http://www.SniffyMcGees.com), an online boutique for the pooch with style, has been awarded the first WomensNet Amber Grant of 2007.
Press Release Body = Cincinnati, OH, February 12, 2007 - WomensNet.Net announced today that the first Amber Grant of 2007 has been awarded to Lisa Raehsler of Minneapolis, owner and creator of SniffyMcGees.com, an online "boutique" of fun, colorful but functional attire for the well dressed canine.
"A new addition to our family, a sassy little Boston Terrier, sparked the idea for SniffyMcGees", says Raehsler, "I wanted to offer high-quality designs in a variety of styles that shoppers can't commonly find around town or at mass retailers. Building my store online makes it accessible to everyone and with lower business start-up costs than a brick-and-mortar store."
Lisa plans to "give back" by using part of the $500 Amber Grant to start Sniffy McGee's own donation program to support non-profit pet-related charity organizations.
The Amber Grants were established by WomensNet owner, Melody Wigdahl, in 1998, as a way to honor her sister, Amber Wigdahl, who died in 1981, at the age of 19.
"Amber wanted to be an entrepreneur, so the Grants are the best way to honor her memory" says Wigdahl, "and since she was such an animal lover - Sniffy McGee's is a great recipient!"
